In Scotland, it’s perfectly straightforward to call in to your local to buy takeaway, fresh draught beer. In England (sorry people) it isn’t.

With lockdown continuing across the central belt of Scotland and beyond, local independent breweries are struggling.
We have lost all our business from pubs, bars and restaurants (again) and our taprooms (those that have them) are closed. We all make amazing beers, our breweries add to the character and personality of our City and between us, we employ dozens of local people.

The evenings may be drawing in and your mood may be a little gloomy with local lockdowns and pubs shut, but we’ve got some news to share that we hope will cheer you up.

Watching the daily figures going up across the UK these last few weeks, we can’t say we were surprised by this week’s news of new restrictions.
But it’s a sad day nonetheless for all of us who are brewing beer or running licensed premises and trying to keep our businesses running and our teams together.
