Goodbye to the Orange Stretch Tent: Hello Sunshine and Pints!

As the days grow longer and the sun starts shining a little stronger, it’s time for our orange stretch tent to come down for the season.
The tent has served us well during the winter, keeping our Taproom beer garden cozy and sheltered, letting you enjoy a pint of our finest brews no matter the weather.
But now, after the gorgeous Spring weather we’ve enjoyed this March in Edinburgh - and with the forecast of more settled weather to come in April - we’re ready to embrace the sunshine again!
There’ll be no one more pleased to see it packed away than our brewing and office team whose windows face onto the beer garden and who spend six months of every year, bathed in an orange glow…
There's something special about sitting outside in the fresh air, sipping a fresh pint of tasty beer, brewed just steps away in our brewhouse. Everything always tastes better outside doesn’t it?
Whether you’re a fan of our hoppy IPAs, crisp lagers, or rich stouts, come and enjoy a beer with the warmth of the sun on your face in the relaxed vibe of our Beer Garden in the heart of Abbeyhill.
Wednesdays - Sundays we have an ever changing slate of carefully chosen and curated pop-up food suppliers serving good food alongside the beers.
You don’t need to book a table but we’d recommend that if you’re coming with more than 4 people, it’s best to do so as it can get busy at certain times. You can book a table inside or outside, via the events page on our website.
So, swing by soon, take a seat outside and join us for a pint (or two) of something special. Cheers!
Events coming up this Spring and early summer
We’re running the bars at two events coming up in the next few months in Edinburgh.
First up is the Edinburgh Marathon Festival (24 and 25 May 2025) with nine different events aimed at everyone from full marathon runners to young children and taking in some of Edinburgh’s most iconic We’re running the bars at the Musselburgh finish area at Pinkie Playing Fields on Sunday 25th. Everyone is welcome to soak up the atmosphere as runners cross the finish line, collect their medals and are met by friends and family. We’ll be serving delicious, freshly-brewed beer from two cargo bars and a can bar, including our specially brewed, low alcohol “Cooldown IPA” (0.5% ABV). And we’ll be hoping for some lovely Spring sunshine this year!
Next is the Hidden Door Festival (11-15 June 2025) at The Paper Factory.
Hidden Door opens up forgotten urban spaces for the public to explore and discover incredible music, art, theatre, film, dance, spoken word and more, showcasing new and emerging artists, musicians, theatre and film makers.
This year it’s being held in a colossal 15.5-acre site on the western edge of the city, in a former paper and cardboard manufacturing facility with a mix of warehouses, factory floors, offices and outhouses.
Bellfield has worked with Hidden Door for several years now and we’re very much looking forward to running the bars again at the 2025 Festival, Hidden Door’s 11th!
